How it works — quick overview

  1. Install Ledger Live Desktop on macOS, Windows or Linux.
  2. Create or connect your Ledger hardware device (Nano X, Nano S, etc.) and unlock it with your PIN.
  3. Add crypto accounts in Ledger Live to view balances and receive/send funds.
  4. When you send or trade, review details in the app and physically confirm the transaction on your Ledger device.

Security notes

Ledger Live itself communicates with your hardware device but never holds your private keys. Always download Ledger Live from the official site and verify signatures when prompted. Never share your recovery phrase — Ledger support will never ask for it.
